Prohibited & Restricted Items

Scope This policy applies to all Buyer Requests, Product listings, Company profiles, Trade Moments, messages, and any other content submitted through Tradexo — regardless of whether Japan is involved in the transaction, and regardless of the nationality or location of the users. Users are solely responsible for verifying compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, export controls, sanctions, customs requirements, and licenses in every jurisdiction relevant to their transaction. Tradexo's non-removal of a listing does not constitute legal approval of the transaction.
A — Strictly Prohibited No exception, approval, or waiver available. Tradexo may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts immediately.
A1 Weapons, Munitions, and Military Equipment
  • Firearms, handguns, rifles, shotguns, and all component parts (barrels, frames, receivers, triggers, suppressors, magazines)
  • Ammunition, cartridges, and propellants
  • Explosives, detonators, incendiary devices, and destructive pyrotechnics
  • Missiles, rockets, torpedoes, and guided weapons systems
  • Military vehicles, armored equipment, and combat systems
  • Goods designed, modified, or described for military, paramilitary, terrorist, or coercive use
  • Anti-personnel devices and suppression equipment not meeting civilian standards
A2 Controlled Substances and Illicit Drugs
  • Narcotics, opioids, stimulants, hallucinogens, and any scheduled substance under the law of any relevant jurisdiction
  • Cannabis, THC, and cannabis-derived products (including CBD where not affirmatively legal in all relevant jurisdictions)
  • Precursor chemicals for controlled substance manufacture
  • Research chemicals, designer drugs, and novel psychoactive substances (NPS)
  • Drug paraphernalia marketed primarily for controlled substance use
A3 Prescription Pharmaceuticals, Unapproved Medicines, and Counterfeit Medical Products
  • Prescription-only medicines and controlled pharmaceutical substances
  • Medicines not approved by the relevant regulatory authority in the destination country
  • Counterfeit, adulterated, or misbranded pharmaceuticals
  • Anabolic steroids, human growth hormone, and prescription performance-enhancing substances
  • Vaccines, blood products, plasma-derived products, and biologics
  • Products making unapproved disease-treatment or prevention claims
A4 Counterfeit Goods and Intellectual Property Violations
  • Counterfeit goods bearing unauthorized trademarks, brand names, logos, or trade dress
  • Pirated software, media, and content
  • Goods infringing patents, registered designs, or copyrights
  • Unauthorized reproductions of character goods, licensed merchandise, or branded products
  • Bulk resale of genuine goods where authorized distribution rights cannot be demonstrated
Sellers of genuine branded or licensed goods must be prepared to provide authorization documentation upon request. See also category B9 (Second-Hand Branded and Licensed Goods).
A5 CITES-Listed Wildlife and Protected Natural Materials
  • Live animals listed under CITES Appendix I or II, or protected under applicable national law
  • Ivory (elephant, mammoth, walrus, and other species), rhinoceros horn, tiger bone, and bear bile
  • Tortoiseshell, shahtoosh, and materials from protected species
  • Coral (live or processed) subject to trade restrictions
  • Timber from CITES-listed species (including rosewood, ebony) or species protected under national law
  • Seeds, plants, and botanical material subject to CITES restrictions or national protection orders
  • Derived products (leather, fur, feathers, oils) where the source species is protected
A6 Human Remains and Biological Material
  • Human organs, tissues, cells, and bodily fluids
  • Blood products and plasma outside licensed medical channels
  • Gametes (sperm, eggs, embryos) outside regulated assisted reproduction frameworks
  • Human remains, including bones, hair, and cremated ashes, offered as commercial commodities
A7 Child Exploitation and Sexual Services
  • Any material depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors
  • Goods or services facilitating sex trafficking, forced labor, or human trafficking
  • Voyeuristic or non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Covert surveillance devices marketed for intimate contexts
A8 Personal Data, Credentials, and Cybercrime Tools
  • Databases or lists of personal information obtained without subject consent
  • Payment card data, bank account credentials, and financial account information
  • Social media, gaming, or platform accounts offered for sale or transfer
  • Login credentials, authentication tokens, and access keys
  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, adware, and malicious software
  • Hacking tools, exploit kits, phishing infrastructure, and credential-harvesting tools
  • Bot services for manipulating reviews, followers, or engagement metrics
A9 Counterfeit Currency and Fraudulent Documents
  • Counterfeit banknotes, coins, and negotiable instruments
  • Forged identity documents, passports, visas, and licenses
  • Fraudulent invoices, certificates of origin, inspection certificates, and compliance documents
  • Services facilitating invoice fraud, advance-fee fraud, or impersonation
A10 Sanctioned Persons, Entities, and Jurisdictions
  • Any transaction involving a person, entity, vessel, or aircraft on UN, US (OFAC), EU, UK, or Japanese sanctions lists
  • Any transaction where goods originate from, are destined for, or transit through a comprehensively embargoed jurisdiction
  • Any attempt to evade sanctions through intermediaries, front companies, transshipment, altered documentation, or misrepresentation of origin or end-use
  • Any transaction where the end-user, beneficial owner, or controlling party is a sanctioned person or entity
A11 Export Control Violations and WMD-Related End-Use
  • Export-controlled goods transacted without the required export license
  • Goods where the end-use involves weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical, biological, or radiological), ballistic missiles, or military applications in embargoed countries
  • Any communication suggesting customs evasion, underdeclaration, or disguise of goods (e.g., "no invoice," "declare as gift," "split shipment," "avoid customs")
This applies to all transactions regardless of whether Japan is the originating country. Export control obligations exist in multiple jurisdictions and may apply even where Japan is not involved.
A12 Illegal Financial Schemes and Money Laundering
  • Unlicensed money services, currency exchange, and payment intermediation
  • Investment fraud, pyramid schemes, and multi-level marketing structured as securities
  • Structured transactions in prepaid cards, gift cards, or stored-value instruments where money laundering risk is apparent
  • Cryptocurrency offered for bulk exchange outside licensed exchange frameworks
  • Any transaction involving the concealment, transfer, or layering of proceeds of crime
B — Restricted Permitted only with full regulatory compliance. Tradexo does not pre-approve listings. Users bear sole responsibility for compliance in all relevant jurisdictions.
Important: Tradexo's decision not to remove a Restricted category listing does not constitute approval, verification, or endorsement of its legality. Tradexo reserves the right to withhold, restrict, or remove any Restricted category listing at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

Tradexo's Rights

Content Removal Tradexo may remove, withhold, or restrict any content believed to violate this policy, without prior notice.
Account Action Tradexo may suspend or terminate any user account for violations of this policy.
Authority Cooperation Tradexo may report suspected violations to law enforcement, regulatory, customs, and financial intelligence authorities.
Policy Updates Tradexo may update this policy at any time. Changes take effect upon publication. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance.

By submitting any content on Tradexo, users represent and warrant that:

Limitation of Liability

Tradexo is a business-to-business matching platform. Tradexo is not a party to any transaction between users and does not control, inspect, verify, or take custody of any goods. Tradexo shall not be liable for any loss, damage, regulatory penalty, customs seizure, or other consequence arising from a user's failure to comply with this policy or with applicable law in any jurisdiction.
